linear glass scale, one piece, KA500-1500mm.

A 0.5/1/5um resolution is available.

Customized encoder lengths (L0) can be provided based on the needs of the customers.(Length:1000-3000mm)

Multiple optical sensors or detectors are built inside the encoder and are placed all around the disk or ring. As the disc rotates, these sensors pick up the optical markers and translate them into electrical impulses.

Code Patterns: Depending on the encoding method employed, the optical markings on the encoder disc can assume different shapes. Commonly used binary codes include Gray codes and natural binary codes. Gray codes are frequently chosen because they guarantee that only one bit changes between neighboring locations, minimizing the possibility of mistakes at these transitional points.

 

The quantity of marks or codes on the disk determines the resolution of an absolute optical angle encoder. More markings and greater angular resolution are provided by encoders with higher resolution. In most cases, the resolution is expressed in bits or counts per revolution (CPR).
