To
ensure
proper
use
of
the
SpO2
sensor
and
its
cable,
please
follow
these
guidelines:
Cleaning:
Clean
the
sensor
and
cable
before
each
patient
use.
Follow
the
recommended
cleaning
procedures
provided
by
the
manufacturer
or
refer
to
the
product
documentation.
Sensor
Placement:
Place
the
sensor
on
the
index
finger,
making
sure
the
finger
is
fully
inserted
and
the
tip
of
the
finger
rests
against
the
finger
stop
inside
the
sensor.
Alternatively,
you
can
use
small-sized
thumb,
middle
and
ring
fingers,
the
little
finger,
or
the
big
toe
as
alternate
sites.
Ensure
that
the
fingernail
is
located
under
the
finger
stop
on
the
SpO2
sensor
clamp.
Avoid
Interference:
Do
not
place
the
sensor
on
the
same
arm
as
the
blood
pressure
cuff,
arterial
catheter,
or
intravascular
line.
Remove
all
nail
polish
as
it
can
affect
accuracy.
Avoid
using
the
sensor
inside
or
near
an
MRI,
and
keep
intense
light
sources
away
from
the
sensor.
Changing
Measurement
Site:
For
long-term
use,
change
the
measurement
site
every
4
hours
to
maintain
the
integrity
of
the
patient's
skin.
Restless
Patients:
In
the
case
of
restless
patients
or
excessive
motion,
consider
using
Med
Accessories
Soft
tip,
wrap,
or
multi-site
sensor
to
help
secure
the
sensor
to
the
patient.
Equipment:
Connect
the
sensor
cable
to
the
appropriate
equipment
(pulse
oximeter).
Turn
on
the
equipment
and
ensure
its
correct
operation
by
consulting
the
monitor's
operation
instructions.
To
ensure
proper
operation
of
the
monitor,
periodically
connect
and
disconnect
the
sensor
cable
from
the
monitor
cable.
Systematically
check
the
sensor
and
cable
at
least
once
a
month
(or
more
frequently
depending
on
usage)
for
appearance,
insulators,
connector
contact
pins,
and
overall
mechanical
integrity.
Do
not
use
or
discard
any
sensor
that
shows
mechanical
or
electrical
flaws.
Operating

Cleaning,
Disinfection,
or
Sterilization:
In

be
observed,
follow
the
recommended
cleaning,
disinfection,
or
sterilization
methods
provided
by
Med
Accessories
or
as
specified
in
the
product
documentation.
It
is
essential
to
follow
these
guidelines
to
ensure
accurate
and
safe
measurements
with
the
SpO2
sensor
and
its
connecting
cable.
Consult
the
manufacturer's
