The EK1300 EtherCAT P coupler integrates the EtherCAT terminal module into the EtherCAT P network. The coupler converts the transfer message from Ethernet 100BASE-TX into an E-bus signal. A site consists of a coupler and any number of EtherCAT terminal modules, which are automatically detected and individually displayed in the process image

Because EtherCAT P integrates power and communication in a single cable, additional power to the coupler is no longer required through the terminal module contact.
